Lal Qilla Brown Basmati Rice

Thoroughly rinse 250gms. (8 oz.) of Lal Qilla rice with lukewarm water. Soak for 1.5 hours. Add the soaked rice and salt to 100ml. of lukewarm water. Cook on medium heat until the rice absorbs the water. Cover with tight lid and remove the pan from fire. Stand for 20-25 mins. Serve hot with curries or sauces.
Note: If the cooked rice is too hard then use more water in next cooking and if the same is too soft use less water in the next cooking.
Place 250gms (8 oz.) of soaked rice in a deep microwave container, add 3/4 pint (400 ml.) of water, add salt if desired.
Cover container loosely with microwave cling film and cook medium or 60% for 10-15 minutes.
Allow to stand for 15 minutes.
