Golden Aged Basmati Rice

Rinse 250gms (8 oz.) of Golden Basmati Rice and soak them for about 30 minutes in lukewarm water. Boil 500 ml (1 pint) of water separately. Now, add the soaked rice and seasoning to the boiled water. Cover the vessel and let it cook on medium heat till the water is absorbed by the rice. Put off the flame, and let it stand for a few minutes. Garnish as required. Serve hot.
Note: If the cooked rice turns out hard, use more water the next time. If it turns out too soft, use less water.
